About the position
Battelle is currently seeking a Project Manager, Enterprise Culture & Programs. This position is a full-time opportunity located in Columbus, Ohio. As part of the Human Resources organization, the Enterprise Culture & Programs (EC&P) team partners across Battelle to advance employee engagement, learning and talent programs, leadership development, and culture initiatives that support a safe and high-performing workplace. This role manages all aspects of medium-scale projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. The Project Manager is responsible for developing project plans, monitoring progress and performance, identifying and resolving project issues, and partnering with key stakeholders to support successful execution. By applying sound project management practices, this role drives productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction while enabling enterprise culture, learning, engagement, and talent initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of medium-scale projects while supporting enterprise-wide culture and program initiatives.
Develops project plans and coordinates project team activities to ensure timely and effective completion of deliverables.
Lead and support change management activities, including planning, communication, implementation, and stakeholder adoption to achieve sustained business results.
Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate project status, risks, issues, and milestones to stakeholders within and beyond the project team.
Allocates resources, assigns tasks, and sets priorities to support milestone attainment, operational efficiency, and overall project success.
Estimates costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of the project and monitors activities to ensure targets are achieved.
Identifies project issues and gaps and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals while minimizing delays.
Analyzes project requirements and performs necessary calculations to support planning, scheduling, and resource alignment.
Manages project budgets to meet revenue, cost, and profit targets while maintaining financial accountability.
May provide support and direction to junior project staff and contribute to continuous improvement in project management practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, communications, project management, or a related field, with 4 years of project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and standards, budget management, and resource allocation.
Demonstrated change management experience, including planning, communicating, and implementing change to support adoption and sustained results.
Proven ability to solve complex problems, follow established policies and procedures, prioritize effectively, and provide direction to others.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
