School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Fremont, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified School Nurse, providing vital health services to students across two campuses near Mountain View, Palo Alto, and Redwood City, CA. Anticipated to begin August 19th and run through June 10th, you'll work 12 hours per week, split across two days (Tuesday and Thursday), supporting elementary-aged students. As the campus health specialist, youll serve as a consultant to school staff, families, and community agencies, ensuring students with medical needs are cared for and supported to succeed. Your responsibilities will include crafting individualized health care plans, performing required health screenings and assessments, collaborating on emergency preparedness, and managing communicable disease protocols.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Current RN BSN with valid Certified School Nurse Credential for California
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly valued
• Strong assessment, clinical, and organizational abilities
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Capable of working independently and navigating multiple campus assignments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive student health services, from routine care to urgent needs
• Develop, implement, and oversee health care plans for students
• Conduct mandated health screenings and evaluations
• Act as liaison between school, families, and healthcare providers
• Support emergency preparedness and manage communicable disease protocols
