Title: SAP EWM Consultant<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite, Chicago, IL<br><br><strong>Duration:</strong> Long-Term Contract<br><br><strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>We are seeking an experienced <strong>SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant</strong> to support warehouse management operations and SAP EWM implementations in an enterprise environment. The consultant will be responsible for solution design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and production support across warehouse processes.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li>Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM solutions supporting complex warehouse operations.</li><li>Configure inbound, outbound, internal warehouse, and inventory management processes.</li><li>Implement Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Putaway, Picking, Packing, and Staging processes.</li><li>Configure warehouse structures including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, activity areas, and work centers.</li><li>Configure warehouse task (WT), warehouse order (WO), and warehouse process type (WPT) determination.</li><li>Configure RF/mobile transactions and support warehouse operators with RF-enabled processes.</li><li>Design and configure wave management, labor management, slotting, replenishment, and physical inventory processes.</li><li>Configure and support Advanced Shipping and Receiving (ASR) and transportation-related warehouse processes where applicable.</li><li>Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA/ECC, MM, SD, PP, and other SAP modules.</li><li>Support integration with external warehouse systems, automation equipment, conveyors, scanners, and third-party logistics providers.</li><li>Configure and support Production Integration between SAP EWM and SAP PP for staging and consumption processes.</li><li>Troubleshoot warehouse execution issues, inventory discrepancies, delivery processing, and integration failures.</li><li>Develop functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers on enhancements, reports, interfaces, and forms.</li><li>Conduct requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, unit testing, SIT, UAT, and deployment activities.</li><li>Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live, hypercare, and production support.</li><li>Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and user guides.</li><li>Collaborate with business users, warehouse operations teams, technical teams, and project stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure SAP EWM solutions follow warehouse best practices, security requirements, and organizational standards.<br><br></li></ul>Required Skills<br><br><ul><li>Strong hands-on SAP EWM experience.</li><li>SAP S/4HANA EWM implementation/support experience.</li><li>Inbound and outbound warehouse processes.</li><li>Putaway, picking, packing, staging, goods receipt, and goods issue.</li><li>Warehouse Tasks / Warehouse Orders.</li><li>Warehouse Process Types.</li><li>RF Framework / RF transactions.</li><li>Wave Management.</li><li>Replenishment and Physical Inventory.</li><li>Storage Types, Storage Sections, Bins, Activity Areas, and Work Centers.</li><li>EWM integration with MM, SD, PP, and QM.</li><li>SAP EWM–S/4HANA integration.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and production-support experience.</li><li>Functional specification and ABAP integration experience.<br><br></li></ul>Preferred Skills<br><br><ul><li>SAP EWM embedded in S/4HANA.</li><li>Decentralized EWM.</li><li>Advanced Shipping and Receiving.</li><li>SAP MFS / warehouse automation integration.</li><li>Labor Management.</li><li>Slotting and Warehouse Optimization.</li><li>SAP TM integration.</li><li>Experience with manufacturing or distribution warehouse environments.</li><li>SAP EWM certification is a plus.</li></ul>
